Lyrics

Waking up to kiss you and nobody’s there
The smell of your perfume still stuck in the air
It’s hard
Yesterday I thought I saw your shadow running round
It’s funny how things never change in this old town
So far from the stars

And I want to tell you everything
The words I never got to say the first time around
And I remember everything
From when we were the children playing in this fairground
Wish I was there with you now

If the whole world was watching I’d still dance with you
Drive highways and byways to be there with you
Over and over the only truth
Everything comes back to you

I saw that you moved on with someone new
In the pub that we met he’s got his arms around you
It’s so hard
So hard

And I want to tell you everything
The words I never got to say the first time around
And I remember everything
From when we were the children playing in this fairground
Wish I was there with you now

Because if the whole world was watching I’d still dance with you
Drive highways and byways to be there with you
Over and over the only truth
Everything comes back to you
You still make me nervous when you walk in the room
Them butterflies they come alive when I’m next to you
Over and over the only truth
Everything comes back to you

And I know that it’s wrong
That I can’t move on
But there’s something about you

If the whole world was watching I’d still dance with you
Drive highways and byways to be there with you
Over and over the only truth
Everything comes back to you
You still make me nervous when you walk in the room
Them butterflies they come alive when I’m next to you
Over and over the only truth
Everything comes back to you
Everything comes back to you

This choral arrangement offers a lyrical and ethereal interpretation of one of Ireland’s most celebrated writers. For lovers of choral music, classical arrangements, and James Joyce’s literary works, this performance provides an immersive experience of Irish cultural history. Listen to the brand new album, released on September 20th, here: [https://lnk.to/JamesJoyceChamberMusic]. Composed by Desmond Earley, this piece brings to life James Joyce’s poem (XXIV) from his iconic Chamber Music collection, capturing the ethereal imagery of a woman silently and gracefully combing her hair. Accompanied by the Solstice Ensemble, led by Anita Vedres, the music subtly mirrors the introspective themes of distance and indifference, resonating with the mystical aura of Ireland. Soprano soloists Emily Doyle and Kiri O’Neill blend seamlessly with the ensemble, evoking a timeless, reflective atmosphere, guided by the rich textures of string and wind instruments. This video not only showcases the Choral Scholars’ distinctive blend of Irish choral sound but also the ensemble’s interpretation of Joyce’s works in a contemporary, yet deeply respectful manner. Conducted by Desmond Earley, this performance is part of a broader international collaboration to fulfil Joyce’s dream of setting all 36 poems from Chamber Music to music. Bridie Gallagher – Boys of the County Armagh

Lyrics:

Theres one fair county in Ireland

With memories so glorious and grand

Where nature has lavished its bounty

On the orchard of Erins green land

I love its cathedral city

Once founded by Patrick so true

And there in the heart of its bosom

Lie the ashes of Brian Boru

Its my old Irish home

Far across the foam

Although I’ve often left it

In foreign lands to roam

No matter where I wander

Through cities near and far

My hearts at home in old Ireland

In the county of Armagh

I’ve travelled through parts of this county

Through Newtown, Forkhill, Crossmaglen

And round by the gap of Mountnorris

And home by Blackwater again

Where the girls are so gay and so hearty

None fairer in Erin go Bragh

And where are the boys that can court them

The boys of the county Armagh

Its my old Irish home

Far across the foam

Although I’ve often left it In foreign lands to roam

No matter where I wander

Through cities near and far

My hearts at home in old Ireland In the county of Armagh

Trisha Yearwood – To Make You Feel My Love

30,281 views Jan 10, 2016Lyrics:

When the rain is blowing in your face

And the whole world is on your case

I could offer you a warm embrace

To make you feel my love

When the evening shadows and the stars appear

And there is no one there to dry your tears

I could hold you for a million years

To make you feel my love

I know you haven’t made your mind up yet

But I would never do you wrong

I’ve known it from the moment that we met

No doubt in my mind where you belong

I’d go hungry, I’d go black and blue

I’d go crawling down the avenue

No, there’s nothing that I wouldn’t do

To make you feel my love

The storms are raging on the rolling sea

And on the highway of regret

Though winds of change

Are throwing wild and free

You ain’t seen nothing like me yet

I could make you happy

Make your dreams come true

Nothing that I wouldn’t do

Go to the ends of the Earth for you

To make you feel my love
