It was released as a single on Coral Records on January 5, 1959 peaking at #88 on the Billboard charts as the B-side of “It Doesn’t Matter Anymore”. The recording was included on Buddy Holly’s first greatest hits album, The Buddy Holly Story, released in March 1959. This sound recording is administered by UMG, Pirames International Srl & SME. As I walk the road from Killeshandra weary I sat down
For it’s twelve long miles around the lake to get to Cavan Town
